We will be meeting in the large reception area. The meeting will begin at 7 pm and the VE testing at 6 pm.

Members,

The Board has had a meeting to discuss the Communication Director and Repeater Trustee vacancies.
As usual the minutes of this meeting will be provided to the members via the Yahoo group file directory for viewing.
Give it a day or two for us to make that happen.

Let it be known that the Board has appointed Kip Moravec, AE5IB, as the acting Communications Director until the next General Club meeting.
At that time the Board will present him as their recommendation to be voted in as Communication Director to serve until the regularly scheduled election in Oct.

The Board has appointed me as the new Repeater Trustee.

The call sign on the repeater will be changing to K5PRK.

Other issues will need addressing as the days go by and members will be kept informed and updated.

As always if someone has a question, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Regards,
Bruce

Hi Everyone!

The 2017 Field Day event is approaching, and I encourage you to mark your calendar:

Date:   Saturday June 24 through Sunday June 25

Time:  On the Air @ 1:00 pm on Saturday; Off the Air @ 1:00 pm on Sunday

Location:  Russell Creek Park in Plano,

(SW corner of McDermott Road and Independence Parkway)

We have reserved the pavilion near the pond. (Sorry, no A/C but plenty of wild life.) Field Day is the biggest annual, North-America-wide ham radio event that is part contest and part practicing and learning radio skills, but always a mix of friends, food and fun. I will put out more specific details as they become available.

Hope to see you there!

73,

Mike Riedel, KE5VCT

(2017 Field Day Coordinator)
