The Plano Amateur Radio Klub is excited to announce that we will be hosting a VE testing session before each general meeting beginning in January 2012. Anyone interested in testing to become a ham, or upgrading their current license, is welcome to attend. The fee is $14.00 and exact cash is required. Please bring a copy of your valid photo ID, if you are upgrading your license you must also bring a copy of your existing license.

Basic Antenna Modeling Class A class covering the basics of modeling will be held on Saturday, Febuary 4th at the Lucas Fire Station. The EZNEC modeling tool will be used to demonstrate how to generate an antennas radiation pattern, as well as how to analyze it's basic electrical characteristics, and how that may translate to on the air performance.
